The Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) is an independent scheme that certifies microgeneration products and installers in accordance with consistent standards. It is designed to evaluate microgeneration products and installers against robust criteria providing greater protection for consumers.
Only MCS approved installers can access the Feed-In-Tariffs, which is the income paid for generating electricity from solar panels.
We are also on the Energy Saving Trust’s list of suppliers for the Manchester and North West area. As a MCS installer Jacob Eco Energy are keen to bring the benefits of solar panel electricity to Manchester and the surrounding areas.
Becoming an MCS approved installer means we adhere to the by the REAL assurance scheme, which is the Renewable Energy Assurance Customer Code of Practice whereby consumers are fully protected for parts and labour. There is also an Ombudsman service as part of the REAL scheme in case of any disputes, so customers can have full peace of mind when using a MCS certified installer.
